|  Vegas April 2012 | | Day 5 - Aria, Aria | | Last Updated: 2012-04-26 02:12:53 | | Today is going to be short, I'm very tired, I don't expect a lot of time in the airport to finish this up if I don't finish tonight, and I really don't have a lot to talk about.
| | Lunch at Bellagio Buffet. Still the best buffet I've ever been to.
| | First let me mention that Nick had a solid cash, taking 5th place in the Aria noon today.
| | On to Aria for the 1:00 and this one didn't go well at all. It didn't help that after the previous night of limit, speculative poker I just wasn't in the right frame of mind for no-limit hold'em. Way too much speculating on borderline hands, calling way too many preflop raises, way too much blind defense...I was not playing my game. And the result was an early exit in ugly fashion, after a couple of all-ins as a short stack I tried a stop-and-go move with A-8 suited and ran into pocket jacks.
| | I decided I needed to clear my head, so I walked the mile and a half to the closest wells fargo branch to deposit the majority of the money I had on me.
| | I did play better in the 7pm, but the result wasn't any better. Won small pots, lost big pots. Did some great check-raising and trapping, but then allowed myself to get trapped. Eventually I got all in w/ pocket 10s and Brian K took me out with A-J suited when he caught a river ace.
| | Then it was on to Planet Hollywood for my last midnight dinner for a couple of months and now I'm back in the room mostly packed and ready to get outta here tomorrow morning.
| | So that's all for today. If I do have time at the airport or maybe after I get home I Thursday or Friday I might do a trip wrapup. But this is pretty much it for today.
